Safe Limits Management for the Refinery Industry
The Safe Limits Management system centrally manages Integrity Operating Window (IOW) limits with controlled change tracking and audit trails. Real-time IOW health assessment, centralized compliance monitoring, and automated email/SMS alerts help identify limit deviations, initiate corrective actions, and maintain safe and reliable refinery operations.
Core features
- All the IOW’s limits are configured and can be managed in inSis limits management module
- All the limit changes are tracked with audit trail
- All the IOW parameters are listed and mapped to inSis
- inSis supports integration with existing data historians, LIMS and manual data entry
- Alerts are configured in inSis based on the windows defined
- An email and SMS alerts will be delivered to the respective teams for proactive monitoring
- Real-time monitoring of IOWS, allows operators and engineers to have a complete overview of the current state of operations
- This allows for quick decision-making to prevent any situation from surpassing the defined IOW limit
- The monthly compliance are generated for the operations management team to ensure the compliance of the IOW’s
How it works
Based on the Historical data, process, operations and inspection team identifies the critical parameters that must be controlled properly. Once the critical parameters are identified, specific operating limits are established. Also, a risk assessment is performed to determine the consequences of the deviations of IOWS.
Based on the risk the priority of IOW is defined. The operations team must ensure that these parameters are maintained within the operating windows and must respond promptly to any deviations.
